Description
This is a superb, highly detailed map of portions of Michigan Upper Peninsula. It covers west of Keweenaw Bay and Portage Lake, and nearly showing Houghton to the north. It shows Ontoganon in the center of the map. The Montreal River, dividing today's Michigan from Wisconsin, is on the extreme left of the map. The geological features are colorcoded to seven types. Much added detail is offered as to topography, rivers, lakes, Catholic Missions, towns, etc.
