TITLE/CONTENT OF MAP: 'NORTH AMERICA, SHEET III., Upper Canada and New Brunswick with parts of New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan'
The map shows the historic districts of Upper Canada (Ontario) as they existed up until 1849 when administration based on counties came into effect. The following districts are named: Western, London, Gore, Home, Newcastle, Midland, Niagara, Bathurst, Ottawa, Eastern, Johnstown This map is folding hence the centrefold line may show on the image below

IMAGE SIZE: Approx 33.5 x 44.5cm, 13.25 x 17.5 inches (Large);
TYPE: Antique steel engraved map with original outline hand colouring
CONDITION: Fair: Small repaired tear in top margin extending c20mm inside the border. The top left hand corner margin has been restored.
VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is plain
FOLDING: This is a folding map.

PROVENANCE: "Maps of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. A new edition, corrected to the present time", published by Charles Knight & Co, 22 Ludgate Street, London
