Description
A superb 19th century carved Water buffalo horn and wooden Bullet Holder (Paru-Paru) from the Batak peoples of Sumatra, with one original musket ball included. The Holder has a wonderful stylized mask like Singha face and deep well handled surface patina. The Holder measures 7.75 inches tall ( 8 inches when on custom display stand). Provenance: James Willis Gallery of San Francisco 1977. ( a scanned copy of original purchase receipt to be included)
