Description
A carved wooden architectural element featuring a winged demon with fangs and elaborate accents. The carved wooden section is a central part of the temple, mounted on the central beam and known as a "Tugeh Boma" This is a very old example likely dating to the 19th century. The sculpture measures 32 1/2 inches wide , and 18 inches tall on its metal base. Provenance: Collected in Singharaja village , Bali, Indonesia by Daeng Iskandar.
Condition
Weathered and worn , areas of decay. Steel mount has some surface rush.
