This lot consists of an ink illustration on paper, done in the anthropomorphic style of E.H. Shepard (English, 1879-1976). A handwritten inscription at lower left corner reads, "E.H. Shepard". Image depicts Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Rabbit from A.A. Milne's classic children's book, Winnie-the-Pooh (1926). This unframed piece measures approximately 7.5" x 10".

E.H. Shepard (English, 1879-1976) was an artist and literary illustrator. His illustration career spanned from the early 1920s to the early 1970s, and included famous titles such as Winnie-the-Pooh, the Wind in the Willows, and Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales.
