Description
**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 150 to 650 CE. A fragment from a votive ceramic figure depicting a stylized elite lord or priest. The mold made figure wears a huge, stippled headdress, similarly huge spool-shaped earrings, and a multi-tiered pectoral. The deep ovoids of the eyes may have once had inlays. Size: 2.5" W x 3.45" H (6.4 cm x 8.8 cm); 3.9" H (9.9 cm) on included custom stand.
Provenance: Estate of R. Pearson, Denver, Colorado, USA; Mr. Pearson collected from the third quarter of the 20th century until he passed away.

Piece is a fragment as shown. Small area of adhesive on the back, with a tiny collection mark handwritten near the adhesive. The face is in nice condition with good remaining detail.
