Description
A pair of Roman red-ware pottery sherds from North Africa, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, one featuring the facing head of Oceanus in relief, wearing lobster headdress, 2 1/4 in x 2 in (5.7 x 5.2 cm), the second with winged Eros (Cupid), moving to left, looking back, holding a box, 1 3/4 in x 1 5/8 in (4.5 x 4.1 cm). Ex Los Angeles private collection.
