Description
1782 Portrait of Gov. Oliver Wolcott of Connecticut, by Halpin, after Earle, framed together with an original autographed bookplate bearing the family seal, (his father had been the Royal Governor of Connecticut). In the original string inlaid mahogany frame with gilt liner, under old glass, 14 3/4" x 11 1/2" overall. Oliver Walcott (1726-1797) was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation.
