A George III sterling silver hot water pot, London 1806 by Peter and Anne Bateman
Of bellied cylindrical form, with moulded rims, the hinged domed lid surmounted by a ball finial. The plain spout opposite a later wooden scroll handle. The side engraved with a quartered coat of arms with another quartered arms on an escutcheon of pretence, a helm above reserved in foliate mantling, all below a crest of an arm in armour embowed with a cross crosslet fitchée in the hand. Fully marked to shoulder and part-marked to lid flange.

Weight – 522 grams / 16.78 ozt
