Description
King George III Sterling Silver Urn from 1788. Given To Thomas Spencer Wilson in 1788. Made by the London Silversmith, Ben Laver. Macmillan and Co., Ltd., St. Martins Street, London published “the Correspondence of King George, the third from 1760 to Dec. 1783,” by The Hon. Sir John Fortescue, L.L.D. D.L.H., in six volumes. Extremely heavy, reeded and fluted and etched with the coat of arms on one side. Measures approximately 8 7/8” W x 14” H. Base measures 4” x 4”. Lid Alone weighs 14.222 OzT.
