ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE CREAMWARE CERAMIC BULL-BAITING FIGURE standing on a molded base, the bull is being baited by a dog, having Whieldon-type underglaze polychrome colors, and decorated in the round with an open-bottom. Collection sticker attributes to Ralph Wood. Circa 1770. 2" HOA.
Wear to raised areas and minor flake to back. Pierced hole beside back rear leg, possibly as made with other flaws, as manufactured.
