**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, La Tolita (sometimes Tumaco), ca. 350 BCE to 350 CE; Ecuador, Jamacoaque (sometimes Jama Coaque), ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE. A lovely ensemble of pottery miniatures from the ancient Pre-Columbian world. First is a seated Jamacoaque figure, perhaps a shaman given the pensive posture, with crossed legs, sinuous arms, a petite face, and a large headdress which resembles a typical ear spool. Second is a stylized terracotta phallus with a rough base, bulbous head, and tubular shaft with remnants of its original light-orange coloration. A wonderful gathering! Size (phallus): 3.875" L (9.8 cm); size (figure): 2.5" H (6.4 cm).

Condition
Arm of seated figure reattached with small chips and some new material along break line. Both items have expected age-commensurate surface wear, small chips to details and peripheries, light discoloration and fading to pigmentation, otherwise very good. Light earthen deposits throughout.
