Description
Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque culture, ca. 500 CE. A set of 3 hand-built figures from the ancient Jamacoaque culture. First is a petite seated figure with colorful pigment. Second is a redware figure with parted lips and a nodule-adorned cap. The largest is an emaciated figure, perhaps an elderly cacique, seated with crossed legs. Size of largest: 3.5" L x 4.5" W x 7.875" H (8.9 cm x 11.4 cm x 20 cm)
