Description
**Originally Listed At $200**

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A tall faience ushabti (or shabti) of a creamy yellow hue. Standing in mummiform, the figure wears a tripartite wig and a pleated false beard, and with crossed arms holds the symbolic pick and hoe to work the fields of Osiris in the afterlife. The yellow coloration is likely caused from aging as the back spine, which displays a pale green hue, shows the original color of the figure. Custom wooden stand included. Size: 4.5" H (11.4 cm); 6.5" H (16.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Matrisciano collection, Thousand Oaks, California, USA
