Description
A handsome Egyptian green glazed faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, depicted mummiform on integral base, wearing tripartite wig and false bead, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and a hoe, vertical plinth down back, and a crisp vertical column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. H: 5 1/2 in (14cm). Well-preserved with great style and mounted on old black wood base. Ex East Yorkshire, UK private collection.
