Description
An Egyptian faience green glazed ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded across chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, basket over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back, column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. A nice example with good style and detail, color now a dark green. H: 4 in (10.1cm). Ex London, UK private collection.
