Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, ca. 300 BCE to 1000 CE. A delicate ensemble of terracotta items from different periods in ancient Ecuador. First is a fragment of a cream-hued pottery phallus with a protruding head and smooth shaft. Second is a group of nine miniature pottery spindle whorls, in hues of light and dark brown, with finely-incised abstract geometric and zoomorphic motifs, either spherical or ovoid in shape. A delightful assemblage of Ecuadorian pottery! Size: 2.125" L x 1" W (5.4 cm x 2.5 cm); size of largest bead: 0.375" L x 0.3" W (1 cm x 0.8 cm).
