Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A very nice example of a round-bodied, squat bowl with a slightly flared rim. Well-drawn circular motifs flow around the shoulder, black on the buff surface of the jar. Elegant and indicative of the excellent work being produced at a very early time period in this region. Size: 5.375" W x 3" H (13.7 cm x 7.6 cm).
