Old antique circa 1890s photograph lot including Japanese and American views with Military Influence. The three large photographs on board depict Japanese people with Americans. Some of the Japanese men pictured appear to be in military uniform. One of the images has a photographer's mark at bottom of mount board partly reading; T. Kudo, Nishikicho Kanda Tokyo. Possibly the caucasians (presumedly Americans) were there in Japan for a missionary trip or perhaps the men are on military assignment and have travelled with their families. The 4th photograph which is mounted on paper appears to be a group of Spanish American War era soldiers pictured in front of an institutional building. Their hats have an insignia that appears to be crossed cannons with "106" ?? underneath. Some have medals and some show their arm badges in the picture. Some of the members in the military unit appear to be of Asian or of Asian descent. Approximate size of each of the three actual photographs mounted on paperboard is 10-5/8" x 8-1/4". The military unit photo is about 13-1/2" x 9-3/4". Major areas of the mounting board are missing but the outer dimensions of the most intact one are about 13" x 16-1/2".
