Description
From the Japanese Surrender Ceremony in 1945, the official end of WWII, here we have photo of Shigemitsu signing the surrender documents aboard the USS Missouri (anchored in Tokyo Bay) on September 2, a photo of General MacArthur closing the surrender ceremony aboard the USS Missouri and a third unmarked photo presumably from the same time frame. We also have the outline of the surrender ceremony that gives a detailed schedule of events plus the names of everyone aboard and the seating chart. Next we have the menu for the Victory Dinner for Commander THIRD Fleet Admiral's Mess USS Missouri from August of 1945. And last we have three hand held flags. One is the American flag and two are Japanese flags. These rare items are in very good condition and all original.
