Description
Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A wonderful ceramic amphora with an attractive hourglass shape comprised of a piriform body leading to a cylindrical neck and slightly flared rim, twin bifurcated strap handles joining neck to shoulder, all on a narrow concave base. Wheel ribbing covers the body and neck. A lovely example! Size: 6" in diameter at widest point x 8.5" H (15.2 cm x 21.6 cm)
