Description
Magna Graecia, South Italic Colonies, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A wheel-thrown pottery amphora of petite size exhibiting a slender foot, a broad body with a central carination, a flared rim, and a pair of curved handles arching down the sides. The exterior is decorated with lustrous black glaze as well as an enclosed band of orange-hued curvilinear bands. Size: 1.93" L x 2.59" W x 2.44" H (4.9 cm x 6.6 cm x 6.2 cm)

Condition
Minor abrasions and light fading to pigment, with small nicks to rim and foot, otherwise intact and excellent. Great preservation to curvilinear motifs.
