Item Details
Description
Greece, Cyprus, Cypro-Geometric Period, ca. 900 to 750 BCE. A wheel-thrown pottery amphora of petite size with a piriform body, a cylindrical neck, and an everted rim flanked by a pair of thick handles. The creamy white-beige hue of the body has darkened slightly but still displays a series of concentric circles, stippling, thin stripes, and thick bands across the exterior surfaces. A few slender stripes encircling the rim imbue it with a textured presentation, however the surfaces are still quite smooth. Size: 3.375" W x 4.625" H (8.6 cm x 11.7 cm)

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-private prominent Daryl Kulok collection, New York, USA, acquired in the 2000s

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
