Description
A pair of Near Eastern bronze pins, c. 1000 - 600 BC, the first, perhaps an awl, surmounted with the head of a horned goat, extremely well-detailed, the pin itself with tapering square profile. L: 6 1/8 in (15.4 cm). The second piece is a clothes pin surmounted by the head of a bird with downward curving beak. L: 5 1/2 in (13.8 cm). Nice brown patina. Ex Naomi Lindstrom collection, acquired during the 1950's-70's.
