A Near Eastern spike and pair of cloak pins. Lot includes a pair of Near Eastern bronze cloak pins, c. 1200 - 600 BC, each with incised decoration, the larger with domed terminal and central toggle hole. L: 7 1/8 in (18.3 cm) and 6 3/4 in (17.1 cm). Also included is a bronze Near Eastern spear butt, c. 1000 - 600 BC, with square profile and tapering to a rounded end, the base with incised angled lines, the mounting shaft round with grooved base and two holes for attachment. L: 12 in (30.7cm). A pleasing example with attractive patination. This piece would have been mounted on the opposite end of a spear or similar pole-arm for support and/or and additional weapon.
