Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE. A fine gathering of three cast-bronze pins meant to fasten a cloak, each with an elongated body with a narrow point. The shortest pin has a hemispherical head, incised concentric rings, and incised registers of zigzag and chevron motifs. The medium-sized pin has a pair of spheres separated by a pair of rings and boasts a quill-style tip. The tallest pin has a discoid head and similar motifs as the shortest pin. Each pin boasts areas of fine green patina, and both the shortest and tallest are covered in lustrous russet-hued patina. Custom lucite display stands included. Size of largest (discoid head): 9.2" H (23.4 cm); 9.3" H (23.6 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Small repairs to shortest and tallest pin. Medium-sized pin has small losses to tip. Minor abrasions to body and heads, with light softening to some incised details, and light encrustations. Light earthen deposits and great patina throughout.
