MEXICAN CENTENARY INDEPENDENCE MEDAL: Gold washed bronze medal designed by Richard Diener to commemorate the Mexican Centennial of Independence.
Obverse depicting the national escutcheon and the dates 1810-1910 above which stands Miguel Hidalgo at his work table, surrounded by the “Padre te' llama el pueblo Mexicano. Tu le diste la vida, noble anciano." The reverse of the medal with a woman in profile holding a laurel wreath and with the inscription, "En comemoracion del Cen- tenano de nuestra Independencia na-cional, siendo Presidents de la Republics, elseaor general don Porflrio Diaz."
