Description
A Freelance scratch built model of a Galloway non dead centre live steam engine, built by Mr D Russell of Frazerburgh. These engines of unusual design with rocking beams, vertical guides and two cylinders lagged in hardwood with metal straps, outside steam chests, central eccentric steam valve linkage to crank with speed governor, brass oiler cups, steam inlet, spoked flywheel 22cm diameter and two small pulley wheels. The engine on shaped fabricated base with hardwood plinth. 46cm by 27cm. Total height 30cm.
