Description
1. Silver medal commemorating the victory of the Swedes (under King Gustav II Adolf) and the Protestants at the Battle of Breitenfeld, part of the Thirty Years' War, 1631.
Obverse: the tetragrammaton, inside a rising sun, surmounting the Latin legend "Dextera Tua Domine Percussit Inimicum" [Thy right hand shatters the enemy]. Surrounded by another legend. Reverse: Latin legend.
Diameter: 42 mm.
2. Medal commemorating the visit of Russian Tsar Peter the Great to Hamburg in 1713.
Obverse: tetragrammaton surrounded by the German legend "Sihe Der Huter Israel Schlafet Noch Schlummert Nicht" [He who keeps Israel Neither Slumbers nor Sleeps (Psalms 121, 4)]. On the bottom - "Im Ersten Monat / Des 1713 Iahrs" [In the first month / year of 1713].
Reverse: German legend.
Diameter: 35 mm.
