Contemporary quarter red morocco over red pebbled cloth boards, raised bands and gilt titles on spine. Boards and edges rubbed and worn with some abrasions, some scuffing and loss to morocco, edges and corners bumped. Text block edges lightly toned, pages and plates occasionally foxed, marginal dampstain on first engraved title page, five small library stamps from "Biblioteca E. de Ingenieros" and dated "1882." A very good, clean copy.

A superb book combining three works in one volume, each with wonderful large engraved plates: The first listing the inscriptions on the Roman Forum detailing events and personalities during the reign of Tiberius; The second describes the Acqua Giulia aqueduct system in Rome; and the third dealing with the ruins in the city of Cori.
