Signed in 2004 by Master Distiller James Howard “Jimmy” Bedford (1940 - 2009) who was responsible for overseeing the production of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey and ensuring the consistent flavor of the product for 20 years serving as the distillery's 6th master distiller.
The first gold medal awarded to Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey in 1904 in competition at the World's Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1996, the Jack Daniel's Distillery debuted its Gold Medal Series with the 1904 Gold Medal commemorative bottle to recognize this prior achievement. It continued releasing the Gold Medal Series of commemorative bottles until 2006.
