Description
Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Campania, ca. 3rd quarter of the 4th century BCE. A stunning blackware vessel on a short foot with a near-spherical ribbed body that narrows at the neck resolving to a flaring rim. A concave strap handle nicely incised with double striations joins the neck to the body, and just beneath is a attractive human maskette. Size: 5.5" W at widest point x 6.5" H (14 cm x 16.5 cm)
