Description
This lot is a neat group of 5 items of Professional Boxer Fred Cooley. Cooley was a professional boxer from 1902 to 1909, with his most well known fight being against Philadelphia Jack O'Brien. This lot of items comes from the Fred Cooley estate, and was found with a grouping of ephemera discovered recently in an attic suitcase. The lot includes to 2 oversized post cards of Cooley in boxing pose, a promotional cabinet card of Cooley, and 2 cabinet photographs of Cooley. 1 of the cabinet photographs shows Cooley walking along side fellow pro boxer Kid Gassagne and another man, while the other shows Cooley posing with his father and boxer Kid Gassagne. The postcards measure 7 by 4.25 inches. A great grouping of antique boxing ephemera.
