Description
ENGLISH CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising two diminutive pearlware pitchers with polychrome decoration, one having a peafowl and sponge / spatter background; two paneled pitchers with molded handles, one having molded sides with deer and trees with lustre; and one teapot with small, polychrome floral sprays. Pitcher with lustre having a lustre painted "5" on base, otherwise unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. 19th century. 3" to 7 1/4" H.
Good condition overall. Minor flaking and expected wear on rims and handles, teapot with radial hairline crack across base, peafowl pitcher with hairline crack running from rim to underside, molded deer pitcher with hairline crack on center of handle.
