Estate / Collection: Estate of Bartlett Burnap

The globular body chased with warriors in battle with two dragon-form handles, raised on three mythical beast supports, the domed circular base with chased band of chrysanthemum, the cover chased with a dragon extending to a dragon's mask finial, the body engraved To John Fowler Esqr. U.S. Consul From the Chinese Community of Chefoo as a token of respects [sic] and appreciation of his valuable service rendered in the year 1900 at Chefoo China. Height 14 inches, approximately 51 ounces.
