Description
ENGLISH PEARLWARE CERAMIC PORRINGER, footed, exterior of curved rim flange has a brown band of pigment, Chinese house design executed along a horizontal green band that encircles the piece, house is executed with orange, brown, yellow, and green, having multiple doors, a fence, possibly a sun, clouds, and small bird; near the handle, a large tree accompanies the house executed in sponged green pigment and thin brown trunk and limbs; the design is in the pattern called "House" by G. and M. Deike. Circa 1810. 3"H, 4 5/8" D.
Good condition. Interior wear from use, small flake to rim, one hairline crack at rim, and radial crack on base.
