Description
A Russian gilded silver, plique-à -jour and champlevé enamel kovsh, Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, 1888. The oval kovsh decorated with a geometric pattern in translucent blue, strawberry red and turquoise plique-à -jour and champlevé enamel, the tapered foot enameled in cross-stitch pattern. Length: 6 1/4 in. (15.9 cm), height 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm).For comparison, see Sotheby's New York, 15 April 2008, lot 377.
