Description
Rare intricate artistry of Antip Kuzmichev, a renowned Russian silversmith of the 19th century. The kovsh, a traditional Russian drinking vessel, along with the accompanying spoon, is adorned with champleve and plique a jour enamel work, which creates a stained glass-like effect in the metal. It is engraved with the Kokoshnik mark, indicating the silver purity of 88 zolotniks equivalent to 91.6% pure silver, the Moscow city mark, the region of where it was assayed and artisan E.W.P symbol.
