Description
Islamic world, Lebanon, ca. 11th century CE. This is a beautiful green glass sprinkler bottle with a bulbous blown body decorated by fine waves, giving its body a melon like appearance. It has a long, thin, cylindrical spout, designed to prevent evaporation of the precious liquids kept inside -- probably a perfume. The body has a very slight, shimmering iridescence that flares purple when looked at from certain angles. Size: 3.4" W x 5.2" H (8.6 cm x 13.2 cm)
