Ancient Roman Spherical Large Flask c.3rd century AD. SIze 7 1/4 inches high. Roman Glass bottle with Flaring Neck and Funnel Mouth, Light Green Glass, Reference: Isings 104b, Wolf Collection 104 without pinched ribs, Yale 335 (photo pg 126), ROM 202 and 307 and 420, Louvre 2 #1053, Huseyin Kocabas picture 109, Dusseldorf 190, Provenance: ex Philadelphia estate of Leonard Wasserman (1925-2011). Founder of Kiddie City. Leonard and his wife collected these pieces of Roman Glass at great expense in the 1970's and 80's from dealers like: Sotheby Parke Bernet (12-14-1978), Harmer Rooke Numismatics, Langman Gallery, Habib Anavian, Frances Tobin, etc in New York, Philadelphia and New Orleans as well as overseas in Paris, London and Israel.
