Ancient Near East, Islamic, ca. 8th century CE. A tall amber-hued glass vessel, free-blown and tubular in form, with a small protruding bottom section and a bulb-shaped tip. An elongated conical body has thick walls and rounded, gently-tapering shoulders which terminate at a slightly-pinched neck base, and dozens of miniscule bubble-shaped inclusions. Twin applied looped trail handles grace each side of the body, and a tall cylindrical neck with a narrow mouth completes the flask. The entirety of the exterior is blanketed in thick layers of silver- and rainbow-hued iridescence, giving an already-attractive flask a simply stunning presentation!
