Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. An elegant flask of a petite form, free-blown from semi-translucent glass of a pale blue-green hue. The vessel presents with a round but stable base, a piriform body with a corseted neck line, and a slender cylindrical neck with an in-folded rim. Faint rainbow-hued iridescence has formed across the interior and exterior and nicely complement the vessel's soft turquoise color. Size: 1.6" W x 3.2" H (4.1 cm x 8.1 cm).

Condition
Minor chips and a couple of stable hairline fissures to rim and upper neck, and light encrustations, otherwise intact and very good. Nice earthen deposits and attractive rainbow iridescence throughout. Old inventory label beneath base.
