Description
Roman, late Imperial to Byzantine period, Eastern Empire, Syria, ca. 3rd to 5th century CE. A lovely free blown flask made of a very pale green, translucent glass, with a graceful piriform body with 2 strands of ribbon trailing. Similar glass bottles can be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, accession number: X.21.163. Size: 2.3" W x 6.25" H (5.8 cm x 15.9 cm)
