Description
Egyptian, XXVIth Dynasty, ca. 664 to 525 BCE. An impressive green faience shabti of characteristic form holding a pick and hoe with a seed bag over his left shoulder. Beautiful pools of green glaze. Custom mount included. Size: 6.75" H (17.1 cm)
Impressed front with a bands of hieroglyphic text which translates to, "Illuminated Osiris, The overseer of troops Pa-Ka-Huy."
Provenance: Ex-Frank Mitchell private collection, Maryland, acquired in 1990s.
