Description
An attractive Egyptian green-glazed ushabti with inscription down back, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, depicted mummiform on integral base, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded across chest and holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder and vertical plinth down back carrying the ushabti's inscription. H: 6 5/8 in (16.8 cm). Nice mottled green color with light deposits, antique base with inked notation 'Lot 43 Sotheby, June 29, 1894'.
