Description

The figure presents with fused legs while holding a pick and hoe in arms crossed atop the chest, and a rectangular seed bag is incised behind the left shoulder. The countenance bears bulging eyes, a petite nose, full lips, cupped ears, and a false beard, all framed within the lappets of the tripartite wig. The entire figure is enveloped in lustrous, turquoise-hued glaze that imbues the figure with an aquatic presentation, perhaps representative of the waters of the Nile River. Size: 1.625" W x 4.375" H (4.1 cm x 11.1 cm); 4.75" H (12.1 cm) on included custom stand.
