Description
Magna Graecia, southern Italy, Apulia, found near the town of Ignazia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. Unusual form! Pottery jar or cup on short foot, flared midsection and rim, painted in fugitive paint in red, yellow and white with simple grapevine patterns and white squiggly lines. Size: 3-1/2" H x 3-1/2" D (8.9 cm x 8.9 cm).

Provenance: Ex-estate of the late M. Reiniger, Chicago, IL
