Description
Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Michoacan, ca. 300 to 0 BCE. Lovely and near perfect pottery tripod olla. Listed on consignor's inventory as Chupicuaro, but we believe this to be Michoacan. Rounded jar on three short feet, decorated with incised crescent shapes - three around the rim, three on the lower body. 3"H x 3-1/4" in diameter.
Provenance: Ex-Private McDonald collection, Houston, TX collected in the 1990's.
