Native American, Western United States, possibly Lakota / Dakota (Sioux), ca. late 20th century CE. A tanned leather quiver bag with a tassel fringe, beads, and carved bone feather pendants. One side has a beaded patch of the Disney character, Goofy, and the other side is painted with his face. Representations of cartoon characters and pop culture icons are often produced for sale, and Goofy is a classic Disney character who made his first appearance in 1932, as a tall, anthropomorphic dog. Size: 23" L x 12" W (58.4 cm x 30.5 cm)

Provenance: private Alamo, California, USA collection, before 2000
