Description
Native American, Southwestern / Western United States, Apache & Plains tribes, likely Cheyenne or Arapaho, ca. 1880s to 1920s. A pair of hide belt pouches with beadwork across the surfaces. The larger appears to be older, perhaps 1880s to 1890, and made by a Plains tribe; the ground is white with blue and yellow triangles. The other pouch is Apache made and has shorter lane stitched rows of beads forming a stepped diamond and checkered pattern, likely dating to the early 20th century CE. Size of larger pouch: 5.5" L x 5" W (14 cm x 12.7 cm)

Condition
Larger pouch has some frayed threads and missing a few rows of beads. Hide is supple with staining and discoloration. Good antique condition. The smaller pouch has losses to beadwork on the periphery edges, a few stains, but otherwise great condition. Leather is very supple.
